What are the reasons the battery manager would force close?

Me too. It's kinda frustrating. It must be a firmware bug or something

I have had this problem after flashing Fission and a slightly tweaked stock rom repeatedly. There may be a more direct, less consequential way of fixing the issue but this I do not know.

What you could try (which worked for me) is flash a stock sbf based rom that rewrites the entire operating system,

I'm stock. Never rooted and i'm having the battery force close issue as well as the random reboots.

Yes I still have not flashed my first rom. I'm rooted running stock. To be honest, it was doing it even before I rooted
