i cleared my battery stats after i flashed pe5. my method of doing this was running the battery down to 0%, then charging it to 100% then iwent to cw recovery then cleared it then i ran the battery down to 0 then i charged it but i had to take it out for like 15 minutes at 60% then after the 15 minutes i charged it to 100% (what a run on sentence:D). the day after i did all this, my battery skipped 90% and went to 50%. i decided i should run it down to 0% a few times and bring it to 100%. this kinda fixed that problem. however the problem i have now is that if i leave the phone OFF (with 100%) overnight or for a long amount of time, then it turns on with around 40%. im sure the problem is not with my battery. i think a problem may have to do with me flashing rz recovery then bringing it back to cw with sbf recovery. maybe its got to do with that. this is only the second time i cleared battery stats. one more thing is that i was getting this problem the first time i rooted, this actually caused me to unroot my droid, until i rooted with z4root months ago. any suggestions guys? im trying to avoid wiping and reflashing and i really want to stay with pe. this is the only rom ive been having this problem with.

it's your call, obviously. i will say that PEGB 5.0.2 is the best GB rom i've run so far (this is just my own personal opinion though i've run all the GB roms.)

having said that, i'm still considering going back to PE4.2. this is a hobby for most of us to get a different feel for our phones, but sometimes it gets tiring and you just want something that works when you need it to.

... for that, whip out 4.2 and taste the golden spray!

last night i threw my phone into my bookbag with 100% battery, after 6 hours i took it out and it was at 5%. so i went through your steps of clearing battery stats without checking my battery life.

today, i saw my phone go from 90% straight down to 50%. i'm about to revert to a backup of something froyo.

this is odd. anybody know what the deal is?

*edit* btw, i installed this with multiple wipes and did not restore any system settings through TiBU.

    best,

thanks for the heads-up. once i get the thunderbolt, i'm giving my OG droid to my fiancee. it's a pretty good deal for me because i'll have 2 phones to play with!

i'm still running 5.0.2. i can't say i prefer one rom over the other, but i do enjoy the glow and the lock screen. is it worth the pain? well, i constantly keep my 4.2 backup on the sdcard w/ TiBU backups so we may be in the same boat soon :)

Is this the correct way to clear your battery info? I have been having issues as well, and when I search on how to do it I get tons of threads. Most of them have hundreds of posts, and it is really hard to find the directions on how to do it.

If I do the clear battery stats in PE system maintenence, do I let the battery die all the way down? Or does that not matter.

The FAQ I linked to in Post 15 above explains how to do it.
