I'm running the newest BB and I'm having really bad battery issues. The battery life drains rather quickly any ideas?

I'll have to try it. Do you mean around 10% battery life?

Try a reboot when it shows anything below 40, and let us know if its still 40 after reboot or if it shows higher...

As with any battery life thread: look into what's using it.

    My Fix

I had terrible battery life after coming from CM 6, I nearly gave up on BB even though it was so much smoother/faster. My basic fix after a lot of reading went something like this.

    1. Charge the phone to 100%
    2. Wipe Battery stats
    3. Use phone until it COMPLETELY dies
    4. Fully charge the phone, Don't unplug it for any reason unless its full!!!
    5. Flash a new kernel, I found 2 options for my phone that really did the trick, Chevyno1 and Sapphire. Sapphire 900mhz is my current one and I'm getting about 8 hours with heavy usage, 12-14 medium usage.
    6. Give it a day or 2, when flashing new ROMs and kernels it takes some time for the phone to settle in, sounds weird but it really did get better after a day or so.

    Happy Modding!
    Cheers!

I noticed that running GPS on this ROM, my battery will die quickly. Never had this problem with any other ROM. Only seems to be GPS that causes the quick drain.

I leave GPS on all the time and have no battery problems. Perhaps you have a program that uses GPS that is the cause of the drain.
