    Battery Life Question

Should I use setCPU or just keep as stock. Cause as of now I'm not getting great battery life, I have good setCPU profiles but I've heard the app itself actually takes up a good amount of battery life. Will I still be able to use my 1.0GHz Overclock without setCPU installed and will I get better battery life?

If you're not getting good battery life it won't hurt to try setCPU. It increased my battery life as opposed to running stock. Since you're max kernel can be lowered based on battery percentage, in my experience it saves battery as opposed to killing it. setCPU is not a huge battery hog, at least not for me. No harm in trying, so give it a shot!

Haha I didn't really realize but I wasn't very clear in my first post. I already have setCPU installed and I'm wondering if going back to default BB with the 1ghz kernal would save me more battery life then setcpu does with profiles active. And will my cpu automatically be overclocked to 1ghz if I do go back??

Ohhh haha yeah, I mean you can try it without setCPU as well and just let the pete script overclock for you. Some people say they've had success just letting the ROM do its thing.

Try each for a week and see the results. I found for myself that setcpu hogged more battery and was only really good for helping with heating. My heating issues were resolved with BB 1.1

Actually I am having great battery performance with BB 1.1 1GHZ LV. I am very impressed with how cool this ROM has been keeping my battery, which I believe has a lot to do with my battery life.

Woke up at 8AM yesterday, went to a ball game, used the phone heavily at times, pocket empires, facebook, tapatalk, browser, twitter, idle at others, came home @ 10PM with 40%

I'm really weired out that you guys are getting bad battery life. After rooting my droid to a stock 2.1 with root, I have only used ROM Manager to install my ROM's. Can't say this is the best method for sure, but it sure has been for me.

Really hope you guys get a fix.
