Did one more test and put my phone in 3g only mode before i went to bed and there is a pretty huge difference. Normally I lose about 15-18% on 4g but with 3g only 9%...wow. gonna start doing this every night.

Normally yes. But was testing it out to see if there was any difference and there you see it:) just in case I have those nights where I forget to charge it before I go to bed.

    Galaxy Nexus Battery Drains Fast

I have a friend that has one. He said it's the 4G antenna that's draining the battery. He keeps his 4G turned off unless he's in a 4G area.

Seems like it. And whatever notifications I'm getting doesn't help either (got email, text, facebook, and app updates), but with 3g takes much less of a toll on the battery.

I keep my phone on 3g when i'm not downloading things, and use wifi at home. This seems to help keep my battery going longer.

I also turned off NFC too. 4g speeds are nice, but having the phone available longer is worth the minor hassle of switching around between 3g and 4g.

I'm holding off on getting a Nexus for a little while. I'm not in a 4G area, so it's not as pressing to have a 4G phone just yet. Besides, this gives Verizon time to get fixes out to the bugs that are being reported.

Here's what happens when you have the screen on the whole time with 4g on and searching. While listening or music on YouTube! :) Long car ride experiment! :p

Mine would drain faster I use Google music lol. 4g absolutely kills the battery. Had a total of maybe 15min use with Google music and some browsing when I stopped by for gas and my battery dropped 11%. I'll take the bad battery life for speed anytime though :hail:

I'm not sure but my battery is lasting very well. At home using wifi always. Auto brightness, synching only yahoo and Gmail, nfc off, only offline music from the internal memory only. I'm getting good 14-16 hours on single charge. Last night I had 12+ hours on wifi mode and I got 22 hours still 18% left on it. About 2-3 hours of screen time. I'm not rooted or unlocked yet. See my snapshots. Its from single battery not extended though. I'm very pleased.
