Tired of losing your 3G on the new baseband? Dropping signals and calls all the time since the OTA update? Well here's the solution! The Baseband Downgrade to .01P!!

    1) rename to update.zip

    2) place on root of sdcard

    3) reboot into SPR

    4) choose Install

    5) Allow installation from update.zip

    6) Install

    7) Re-Activate by dialing *228, option 1

Have fun guys, and remember... BillyGalbreath did it FIRST! ;)

My question exactly....I mean I live in houston and the 3g coverage from verizon is pretty damn good, so would this even be worth downgrading? dancedroid:icon_ banana:dancedroiddancedroid:icon_ banana:

This downgrade is ONLY needed for people having issues on the .03P baseband. It is not recommended for everyone. If you search google you will find thousands of people are having 3G issues with .03P but no solution other than flashing 2.01 SBF was available to them. So I provided a safer and easier solution.

If .03P is working fine for you, then you dont need this downgrade.

    ;)

For me, personally, .03P works better and faster. This fix is more for those with less populated areas that may not have as many cell towers as we have.

Does this work on the Motorola Milestone UK 2.1? Because I keep getting my 3G signal dropped now.

Thanks for this, trying now. I live in the boondocks and have noticed a pretty substantial difference in coverage/dropped calls, etc. Hope this helps!

This needs SPR to be installed. Unless SPR has finally made it to the Milestone, this wont work for you. Sorry.

Can someone rehost this so I don't have to open 8 new windows, register, and click my heels three times to download this 5MB file?

It is not ROM specific at all. This will work on any ROM.

Thanks a lot for providing this. My signal has gotten worse since I upgraded to gearhead's baseband update to. 03P. I haven't tested yet, but if it does what its suppose to, then I will be forever in debt to you. :)

Only had it for one day so I can't be for sure, but it did seem like my phone was keeping a 3G signal longer. It will eventually switch over to 1X still...will continue to monitor. I live WAAAAY out in the country though...
