Barnacle - Client Stuck at Acquiring Network Address

Barnacle was working great.

Then I upgraded to 2.2 via OTA, then re-rooted.

Not sure if it worked then but...

I then renamed some of the bloatware, including Mynet.apk to bak files.

I have since renamed Mynet back to .apk.

Still barnacle does not work.

The other hack (*#*#4646 ...) DOES work, but not NEAR as convenient.

Help please?

On Motorola Droid with Froyo (2.2) you will need to select Skip wpa_supplicant in Settings, and disable WEP at the moment. Most up-to-date info is available on github wiki

I tried Barnacle after going to 2.2 and had the same issue. Uninstalled it. Went with Wifi Tether instead and have zero issues In fact, I just opened to make sure it works cause it's been a while and since going full root and deodex with 928 BGX. All is still peachy. Just a consideration.

Which WiFi tether is that? Marketplace has many...

wifi tethering....its free and the icon is a lil green signal strength indicator
