Bad service?

Has anyone noticed a significant drop in the quality of service you get after the last update? I mean, now i dont even get 3 bars on 3g at my house as i used to, and it seems as though I have worse service everywhere i go. And i have updated my phone via *228.
Im just wondering if anyone else is experiencing these problems as i.

Thought I was the only one. Now at work my phone is constantly searching for service and is almost dead by the end of the day. Goes from 3G to 1x all day long. Sometimes I have no data connection. Wasn't sure if it was from the update or something else I did.

I am currently running stock 2.2.1 rooted with motocache's root method.

No, i get 1x all tge time now. I can't even stream radio via tune in without it getting choppy, this issue has been irritating me lately, it was definitely afyer the update.
