Backup SD card every time connected to computer

I want to backup my SD card every time I connect it to a computer.

I want this in case i lose my phone and SD card completely. I have insurance to replace everything but the data can't be bought.

Is there a way to set this up on my computer or through my Droid X?

I don't know of a way to do this automatically. You can get Titanium Backup. There's an option to backup your data to DropBox. That way you can save your data whenever you want, no computer needed.

I'm rooted and use samba file share to browse files on my phone thru home network.

I've mapped both my internal and external sdcards as network drives and use SyncToy to perform the backup operation.
