backup and restore GB

im running rooted GB..
if i backup using D2 bootstrap and sbf..
after root.. can i just restore and go to GB
or do i have to install the rooted GB rom again??

i want to try liberty 2.0 but dont want to erase
what i have on GB rom..

Im pretty sure that you will have to SBF then Reinstall the GB leak and then Restore. Just like you have to sbf and restore to Liberty. Its cause some of the system files and other geeky stuff is changed from these two OS's that if you tried to restore from froyo you will end up with a bootloop or brick.
