Decided to go back to stock after having my phone rooted for a couple weeks. It was just sucking up to much of my time playing with all the themes and settings.

Everything works perfectly except I do not have any voice search abilities:mad:. Even in Handcent I cannot do speech to text????

Can someone please help me get my voice search back. I used to use it on a daily basis for pretty much everything.

I already have tried going into settings, manage applications and it is in there under com.google.android.voicesearch. I tried clearing defaults to no avail.

    Thanks.

I had this happen once.....pretty sure they way I fixed it was to:

    1) Go to "Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications"
    2) Press the menu button and select "Filter -> All"
    3) Find "com.android.voicesearch" and uninstall it (don't worry, it doesn't kill it).
    4) Reboot the phone

    Voice search should be back.
