Ok guys Its nothing major but I wanted to mess around with some boot animations for my phone. I've attached what I have made. Banana is smooth and runs good but the stick fight I didn't totally finish (a little choppy) but posted it anyways. (if someone wants to help with the desc.txt for stickfight to fix it thatd be great). ENJOY!

Banana (simple and small @ 700KB)

The desc.txt for stickfight is fine.
gets slightly choppy at the end, but most longer animations i've tried do the same.
seems that the Android OS loading in the background interferes with them in my opinion and the last approx 10 secs or so before the boot is complete tends to have a hard time with animations.

Probably why they included the option of freezing a frame in the desc.txt, in theory anyhow.

I'd like to try this one.... where is the download if you don't mind me asking? I have looked at your original post above but did not find the link.

    Thanks.

mount your sdcard to your computer.
put the bootanimation zip file (i.e. cyberchoas.zip) on your sdcard
unmount the sdcard from the computer
open terminal emulator on your Droid
    then type in

    su
    cp /sdcard/cyberchoas.zip /data/local/bootanimation.zip
    reboot

ofcourse there is more than one way to skin a cat.

So you put the zip file onto your sdcard, not in any folder?

Correct. Then follow the instructions in the post before yours to push the bootanimation.zip to your /data/app/ folder. Reboot and watch.

Another way for install is copy the bootanimation in root explorer and paste it in system/media folder.

Yes but two things that i dont like about this are:

    1. You need to have root access to paste into that folder (which takes away from being able to do this without root)
    AND
    2. That will overwrite your stock bootanimation therefore never getting it back if you ever choose to. Putting it in data/local/ makes it to where you can delete it if you ever want stock back.
