I love PE 5.02. I have noticed that when you disable auto-rotate screen in the display settings it breaks certain apps that rely on phone orientation like Bubble level and the calibrate in the Compass app. Is this a PE issue or a GB issue?

Your not alone on this one bud. Mine stopped auto-rotating on V.01. Messed with all the settings, no change still.

Same thing happened to me. Could not get the screen to auto rotate after I took it off the desk dock. Also noticed when I first installed the ROM it woulndt auto roate when I put it in the car dock. However a reboot got it working right for now.

Do not know why, cause I rebooted at least 10 times, but now auto-rotate is functional.

Scratch that, this morning its stuck in landscape mode after it is removed from the car-dock. Going to try a wipe all and fresh install. Wierd.

Wipe worked...scratching my head alot on this one.

A number of people have commented that Screebl stops working on GB if auto-rotate turned off. It stays locked in either the "in range" or "out of range" position. Based on the comments it is a GB thing - the developers probably need to update their apps for GB.

[I had that issue and it was driving me nuts - until I stumbled on a thread that alerted me to turn auto-rotate back on - and now works fine]

Yes I think you're right Kiwi. When I reenable 'auto rotate' all the apps work correctly again. I didn't even think that it could be the apps that don't get along with GB. (Although I would think GB would be backward compatible with Froyo apps).

Anyway hopefully they fix that in future builds.
