I don't know. Definitely cool, but also kind of just a toy. Kind of like the video augmentation in the ICS camcorder. Don't get me wrong, have had tons of fun and laughs playing with the augmented camcorder. But that's more or less all this is.

Personally, I'm more interested in the augmented reality apps that overlay the real world with information. They have a long way to go, but those will someday have a ton of valuable uses.

Tried it out and didn't get it to respond very well in my room. Would make for a fun way to occupy kids, but overall it is a pretty cool idea.

I thought the instructable video was pretty cool.
Oh no the technology is definitely cool. It's just one of those things where it's cool the first time you open it and probably never touch it afterwards. Little kids will definitely get a kick out of it, gotta show my nephews

I can't figure out how to actually get it to "play" the aura. I took a photo of a cup in my office and put a dog to show up on it, but I can't figure out how to get the aura to actually play.

*EDIT: Nevermind figured it out
