AT&T Milks an Extra $500 Million from Customers Just 'because they can'

    The funny thing is for years people have complained that Verizon always gouges their customers with these arbitrary fees, even though all carriers do the same thing.

    Yes but I would think its safe to say that the majority of mobile phone users are on Verizon. And they have the best network, period. So it's more frustrating when the best service provider gouges your pockets.

    this will most likely allow people to break the contract if they so choose to(for a given period of time). Something like this happened years back, very small fee change on Verizon's part that allowed nearly everyone with them(on contracts) to opt out for a given month or something. I would guess this falls into that same category.

    Sprint did something similar and they gave everyone 30 to 45 days I believe to decide whether they accept the change or they could leave with no etf charge. I bounced. I felt they were trying to be sneaky, I found this out from reading forums. So yeah, at&t is doing this u can bounce. But be sure to check ur t&a first.
