Theroot.ninja team boldly announced to LG that they could not wait to receive their US versions of the LG G4 so they could get started hacking away on them. In just a few days time the AT&T variant has already fallen. Jcase posted a quick video this morning showing himself running a root level executable that is shell writable. The script didn't run but this is because it was ran data/local/tmp which is not allowed on 5.1 due to the SELinux policy. This is no big deal since Jcase has full control of the system. He just moved the script there. While having root this early in a phones life cycle is great for those who love root it also signifies a pretty poorly secured device. I imagine Jcase is packaging this up in a way that is user friendly and safe for the masses. Nothing at all has been said about a release of this method.
