Just as we reported yesterday, the Asus Zenfone 2 is now available at several online retailers. There are two versions of the device (both are carrier unlocked). The 2GB Ram version is $199.99, while the 4GB Ram option is $299.99. Here are several links for those interested in jumping on these deals:
How many of you guys are thinking about grabbing one of these as either a primary or secondary device?

Why didn't they include CDMA radios in this device?
How difficult is it to do so, without carrier approval?

Probably because Qualcomm owns many of the CDMA patents

Please explain. Does that mean that if a phone doesn't have a Qualcomm proc, then they can't be put on Verizon or Sprint? Or if they have a Qualcomm proc, then they pay significantly less to be put on those carriers.

My guess is, if they include a CDMA radio they pay the patent fees. If it's a Qualcomm proc, they fee may be built in.
