I've downloaded just about every digital clock app or widget and can't find ANY of them that don't freeze the time on me! I make sure none of them are in my task killer list and they start working again if I tap them and open/close them. Otherwise they ALL get stuck or frozen at a particular time.

Its driving me nuts! Argh! :(

If you uninstall the task killer, which isn't necessary anyway, I'll bet all the clocks will work.

Nope. Didn't work. Re-booted and everything. :( They're all still freezing unless I open/close them manually. Grrrrr....... :(

I have a digital world clock from another phone, I can send you the apk if you want to try it out. I've been using it on my d1 with problems.

Have you tried Gentle Alarm ?

It has a great digital clock display in night mode, plus one of the best alarm clocks.

are you sure its just not freezing up for 59 seconds at a time?

Seriously, don't know if you don't have task killers killing it.

HaHah...... that's a good one. :) If you weren't a biker, I'd have to get mad at you! *LOL* My husband races Kawi's, so I can appreciate your humor.

I uninstalled all my task killers.

Will look into the Gentle Alarm, but all I want is an app that shows the time, date, and day in a widget style. I finally got rid of all my CLOCK apps and just downloaded a DATE widget, since I do have the regular phone time up on the status bar. That will have to suffice until I can figure out what else actually WORKS and doesn't freeze (yes for more than 59 seconds! *LOL*)

Yeah, you're the second person that has recommended BW to me. I'm just a stickler about paying for apps, but I guess I might have to break down and buy one. Thanks for the tip. :)

BW is definitely worth the money. I've used it ever since I can remember. It's always the first thing I install whenever I wipe my phone.

Let me be the third and probably not the last to recommend BW. I have been using it from the begining.

It's not the clock widget that is causing the freezing. If you're using LauncherPro or ADW or some other home screen replacement, a redraw by one of those apps will cause your clock along with other widgets to stop responding.

Thank you for the suggestion. Yes, I've always used Launcher Pro. It's been my favorite so far. Good thought..... I hadn't though of that option yet.

Ok, all of you BW-lovers out there are starting to wear me down. *grin* But I prefer to have only ONE homescreen and ONE dock bar. I like all my apps on one page without scrolling through pages of screens to find what I need. (Just my personal preference.) Is BW a "launcher" just like L.Pro or ADW? And does it require multiple screens and/or can I customize my settings?

Me-thinks I should move this to a new thread to ask questions about BW, but since you all have HIGHLY-recommended it, I'll just ask a few quick questions here.

Thanks again to all of you. This forum is awesome and always comes through for me in a pinch and super-fast! :)

Another question...... Is BW a "launcher" or do I still need to download a particular "launcher" to use the app? Like, some widgets or apps require you to download launchers like - L.Pro, ADW, PandaHome, etc. etc.

    THANKS.

BW is just widgets only, not a launcher. Its main claim is the clock/weather combo though it does weather on its own and has some toggle widgets (like bluetooth) as well.

It also includes a very cool Live Walpaper of the current weather.

The Live Wallpaper depicts the current weather where you are.

    Examples:

Rain will show as falling rain.
Lighting Storm has light strikes on the wallpaper
    Snow
    Clouds
    Sun
    Etc.
