That space is used for app storage only, it's not used by the OS when it's operating.

How much free space do you have left? There is no benefit to moving apps to sd other then freeing up install space.

Settings, SD card & phone storage, Available Space.

What is considered an "acceptable" amount of free space, out of curiosity? I have 31% free but I don't have any issues as far as lagging, freezing, etc.

Once you start to go below 10% I would consider moving stuff to sdcard.

Cool, thanks!

If the man wants app2sd let him have it. To override the devlopers settings and allow the movement of ANY app to the SD card do this:

$su
#set InstallLocation 2
#reboot

Now you can move any app to the sd card I would avoid apps you like to have @ start up and have widgets for, as the widgets will not longer be avliable. Good apps to move are things like Google Earth and Adobe Flash Player.

To change back to having apps install to interal bt default

$su
#set InstallLocation 1
#reboot

Enjoy your extra free onboard application memory ;)

Just remember something... Gaining free RAM (ie going from 60 to 90) will not make it run any quicker, as pointed out by mjones ...

Free RAM is RAM that is NOT being used hehehe ...

titanium will also move them and, if enabled, restore them to same location.
I only run a few like this, no sense overdoing it.
widget driven apps usually will not work correctly.
