Apps Inaccessible—Can’t Use Phone

I don't know what you were messing with, but it really sounding like it's time to bite bullet and do a Factory Date Reset

We went to our local carrier store and they did a reset. Apparently an app did this. None of the apps on the phone now cause this. We will be very careful about adding other apps. Thanks.

glad you got it fixed. wonder what app caused the problems.

Neither we nor the store rep could figure it out either, and many third party apps are buggy and/or open to malware. That’s probably what happened.
