OK, so I have rooted my D X with z4root (soooo easy to do). Now I'm looking for apps that can be used for rooted phones. I know that is a pretty general request. Maybe there is a list that I can be pushed to.

I downloaded a 3g hot spot but need to do some work to get it up and running. Thanks in advance.

You'll want Cache Mate for one button cache cleaning of all apps.
And of course you want Root Explorer. That's a must have.

A free alternative (and open source I believe) to root explorer is 'file expert'. If you don't want to pay for root explorer you could give that a shot. It's functional, I prefer the minimalist root explorer myself but its got a hefty price

Droid X Bootstrapper (literally a must)
ROM Manager (need this to flash clockwork)
SetCPU (good for setting the CPU speed)
Shootme (a better alternative to drocap2)
Root Explorer (for managing and editing system files)
Titanium Backup (backup all system data and apps)
CacheMate (one button cache cleaning of all apps)
    Wireless Tether (free wireless tether)
