Working for Apple 2+ years and now working as a Certified Apple Technician, I wanted to start this forum if anyone had Apple/Mac related questions, if you are curious about getting one, software and/or hardware related questions. Fire away

I am currently running a Core 2 Quad Q9550, which is pretty fast, but I think I wanna give that computer to my wife and get me an iMac. I was wondering which one I should get. I'd like to stay with a quad core but I don't want a crappy quad core either.

I do a lot of Music production, video editing, and photography on my PC. So the quad core works out well. I just don't wanna spend a buttload of money on a computer. Someone was telling me the Core2Duo will be just fine for me. What do you think?

Can't wait to see what the big announcement is next week.. i3, i5, i7 notebooks? iSlate?

I've been eyeballing the new iMac 27 with the i7 but if a new Mac Book pro came out with similar specs, I think I would go that route.
