It is too bad that Apple had the courage to release an iPhone with no headphone jack, but also didn't have a good enough game plan to get their wireless AirPods out in a timely manner. The bluetooth wireless AirPods were pre-announced alongside the release of the iPhone 7 way back in September. The accessories were promised for a late October release. October came and went without the Airpods. Apple announced "We need a little more time before AirPods are ready for our customers".

It was expected that the AirPods would see a November release, but that didn't happen and now all indications point to a January release skipping the Holiday season all together. It seems like something has gone incredibly wrong in the production process. Maybe the technology was not entirely ready. I have tried fully wireless earbuds in the past and they can be incredibly annoying to get them to sync. The connectivity has a difficult time passing through your head believe it or not. I had assumed when the AirPods were released that Apple had improved on the technology, and hopefully they have. Who knows what is causing this display and the reason Apple decided to pre-announce the AirPods so far in advance.

Battery life, if anything like their smartwatch, is probably measured in seconds instead of hours and they're trying to get it to minutes with software tweaks? The Samsung ones boast a whopping (sarcasm) 2 hours and their smartwatch easily quadruples the time between charges of the Apple watch.

I'm curious to see if their claim of 24 hours of battery life is true, or anywhere close to 24 hours. It's possible, but I just don't believe it at this point. Anyone remember the Moto Hint? The smallest Bluetooth headset ever. It was an OK device, but the battery life was not great and you were always putting it back in the charging case to keep it topped off. Maybe these will be different, but i'm not seeing how they are large enough to hold a 24 hour battery.

I guess so if you dont mind getting them in summer. The issue here is that they should have shipped in October but may not ship till January now.

    That sucks.

Well after being critical of Google for their supply issues with the Nexus and pixel I guess Apple is going to get some of that criticism.

If they were great and actually fit into the ears well, I'd consider them, but Apple ear pods have never been comfortable, unlike Samsung's old style...
