Well... that didn't last long. Just last month we reported that Apple and Samsung were in mediation to try and work out their differences and come up with some sort of mutual and collaborative settlement over the ongoing patent litigation. Unfortunately, the talks have broken down, and the two tech giants are heading back to the courtroom arena to "duke it out" some more. Here's a quote from the original source of the story,

CEOs as well as legal representatives from both companies met in San Francisco on Monday and Tuesday to discuss their differences, with the private talks mediated by the U.S. District Court. Unfortunately it appears that the talks were fruitless, and that the lawsuits will continue.

<sigh> :icon_rolleyes: Can't we all just... get along?

I'm sorry, but its just bogus. These are about the design of the phones. But really, a rectangle device with a black surface...blah blah blah...Apple has nothing but will spend so much trying to make it into something.

Apple probably wants all this money, and Samsung is like hell no.

I'll admit most of the stuff is pretty outrageous. The design most smart phones use have been around for a while. Same with UI design, and what not. Just look at older PDAs.

Hell Palm OS had apps on the home screen long before the iPhone.

Apple seems to send lawyers to fight every little thing. There was an article I read about a guy who sued Apple over a Macbook warranty. Apple sent two lawyers, and still lost to the guy. He wasn't even a legal student.

Further proof that Apple's cutting edge has dulled considerably. If you can't out design your opponent, sue the heck out of him.

Job's was a heck of an innovator and a pretty smart guy and it looks like he may have been irreplacable.
