App to record video with auto-focus feature?

If the standard app for video won't auto-focus (where do you even set where it does focus?), then surely by now someone has written an asp that can, right?

Since the camera can drive the focus hw, there should be no trouble there. And I can't think that there isn't a java class already out there for auto-focus...

So, wtf?
