    Ok...

    **********excellent**********

The feature to make folders inside the menu without addons is awesome... def a plus!

As for the ui, very nice. Any others on an ally only gives u the 4x4 grid use. The 5x5 I use and love. Very smooth and don't lag my phone.

The recent apps is nice too...

The task killer is better than advanced task killer. No widget draining 5mb of ur memory. And actually kills the apps... very nice...

As for a home replacement I would reccommend this to anyone... 5 stars :)

Go Launcher Losing Widgets on Boot.

I am on a Droid 1. It is rooted, but has the stock 2.2. I have set the CPU speed to 800.

I have been using Launcher Pro Plus for months. My primary concern has been that at times there is a lag when waking up. After reading about Go Launcher, I thought I would give it a try.

I downloaded, installed, and assigned it as the launcher from QuickDesk. I then loaded up the 5 screens with the exact same apps and widgets as I use on Launcher Pro. Where possible, I assigned the same apps to the rotating dock.

I was impressed with the speed the screen came up with from sleep. I came up quickly, 1-3 seconds. Movement across home screens was snappy. Once the following issues are resolved, I think this may become my home screen of choice.

I encountered 1 small problem with apps dock. This problem is that the apps would not stay in alphabetic sequence, regardless of the number of times I set it to alphabetic.

I would like the ability to add folders from "Folder Organizer" to the dock area. I can add folders from "Folder Organizer" to the home screens, but not to the dock area. You can do this with LP.

No, for what I consider the real bad. When I reboooted my Droid, (that is powered it down, then powered it back on, all widgets were removed from the Go Launcher Screens. There was blank space in the spaces where the widgets use to be. Also the setting in Touchdown got trashed. Widgets that were assigned to QuickDesk were also gone. In order to rule out a system crash, I re-added a couple of widgets, rebooted and low and behold, the widgets were gone again. I uninstalled Go Launcher, rebooted, and used the stock browser. Widgets were fine. I then switched to LP Plus and widgets were fine. I fixed the Touchdown settings. I rebooted in LP Plus and widgets were fine and Touchdown settings were fine. I downloaded and installed Go Launcher a 2nd time. I loaded the first screen with Beautiful Widgets and the stock calendar widget. I rebooted and these two widgets were gone and Touchdown settings were trashed again. I gave up an removed Go Launcher.

For me the loss of widgets on re-boot is a most serious problem. The trashing of Touchdown settings is also a serious problem. Once these re-boot problem has been resolved, I will try Go Launcher again.

Like I said, I think this Home replacement shows great promise, but the re-boot problem makes this a no-go.

This is based on my experience, most likely yours will differ.

    Hi,REMilk,thanks for your feedback.
The alphabet sequence is like a tool that you can adjust the current sequence now,the alphabetic mode in apps drawer is on developing. We will see this feature soon. :)
In addition,we will add this feature about the shortcut in dock in next several versions .
At last,we are working to fix this widget's bug which we attach great importance to.

    GoLauncher,

Thank you for your prompt response. Once you conquer the "vanishing widget", I will try it again.

The only thing keeping me from using Go Launcher as my default is the inability for me to set custom icons through 'ShorterCut' (an app similar to BetterCut). I use icons from an icon pack, that i cannot export to my SD Card, therefore cannot choose them when i select to use a 'custom icon'. I can use ShorterCut in LP, which i currently use.

Btw: my favorite thing about Go Launcher is that it has dock gestures (ala LP) AND up/down Gestures (ala ADW). These are my personal favorite funtions of any app on the android market. Good job guys!

I see that this new version has the ability to use custom dock backgrounds. When I have tried to use my existing Launcher Pro backgrounds, the icons seem to line up a little too high, and not vertically centered inside the dock.

What are the proper dimensions for docks using GO? Is it possible to adjust the dock's alignment so that my existing LP docks can be used?

Not sure if this is the right place for this but here goes...

I have a Droid Incredible running CyanogenMod7. I was using LauncherPlus Pro, but I installed Go Launcher Ex because I like the idea of being able to move the screens around, and it loads much faster than LPP. This is by far the most usable and customizable launcher I've ever used.

However, I'm having a serious issue with it. It seems to be causing my phone to reboot any time I'm doing anything fairly intensive. If I have 3 tabs open in Dolphin Mini, or one that has a lot on it, the phone reboots. Updating more than 2 or 3 apps at a time from the Market causes it to reboot. Uploading pics from the Gallery causes it to reboot. Sometimes, just VIEWING pics in the gallery causes it to reboot.

I tried these same things using the built-in ADW Launcher, and had no such issues. I'm really hoping that there's a fix for this, because I really do prefer GL over LP and ADW, but if this can't be fixed, I'll have to go back to LP.
