After a late breaking facebook post it seems pretty obvious that the moto milestone is there newest phone release. would it be possible to get service for my droid as a milestone under cellular south when they officialy release it?

The Droid is a CDMA phone (hardware) and the Milestone is a GSM phone (hardware). You can only use a CDMA phone on CDMA networks and GSM phones on GSM networks, they are not interchangeable.

Cellular South must be a GSM network if they are supporting the Milestone.

Cellular South is a CDMA carrier.

I'm starting to wonder if I can use my Droid on their 3g network. Verizon does not have the same roaming partners as Alltel did and its killing me at home.

Cellular south will have a cdma milestone. Verizon owns the naming rights so they can't call it the droid.

...but will a Verizon-branded Droid be able to work on Cellular South? If I paid the ETF could I use my Droid (to it's fullest extent) on the Cell South network?
