"NinjaMorph allows you to Modify system apk's and jars right from your phone without ever hooking up a PC. Change out images, xml files, anything."

Intead of applying a whole theme you can use this on your phone just to change one (or more) file(s) in an apk, etc. from your SDcard.

Thinking about trying it and wondering if anyone else has yet.

Is it in the Market yet?

Edit: I see he has it on the Market for 2.99. Should have gotten it a couple of days ago when it was free. Still not that into change this right from the phone.

BTW, I am playing with it now... no themes needed, if copies whatever.apk to a SD card folder, you go into it and change file(s), then hit Finish Project and it copies the apk back to the original location...slick.

What are you really going to change directly from the phone? Does it have a hex editor, .9 patcher, eclipse? No way am I going to edit images on the Droid itself.

Edit: I can see how it would be better then MM. Since you don't have to worry about cough cough developer cough cough changing the control file. Sort of mix and match. I guess I will break down and try it ;)

Can you edit apps in /data/app and not have a signing issue when it pushes it back?

Supposedly not supported ... wish someone would make an "on phone" signing tool..!

I wish I could do it just for the darn Market update app...that thing drives me crazy.

You two seem to be having a nice conversation here. I never liked the idea of editing things like that right on my phone...

I checked it out. It's a cool idea but I don't know when I would ever use this. I would still need to modify the images or xmls on my computer, place them on my sdcard, then switch the files on my phone. I can do that faster on my computer and adb push it to my phone.

I guess for anyone wanting to make small changes it is great but it's not a tool for people making full on themes. just my take on it.

OK so I used it to change the app drawer picture, but end result is all distorted, how and what program do I use to change the pictures to the correct size and what is the correct size? Thanks.

Edit: I am trying to do something with HULK so if anyone has any pix that may work or if you have any nameplates that may work I would appreciate it. What I am trying to go for is just the figure of the HULK not necessarily the full tray.

I used it to skin AudioWidget, SetCpu and Astrid after I pushed them into the system, also I did the stock Music.apk, youtube.apk, Settings.apk, and the Weather.apk Widgets with great results it saves alot of time pulling and pushing .apk files around in the system
