I have installed two different 2.1 roms and tried overclocking each. I did this by downloading the speed I want and then doing a nandroid advanced restore and checking boot only. The first time it worked but after install my phone kept randomly rebooting. The second time every application fc on me. Has anyone been successful at this? I like the look of 2.1 but it runs too slow for me. Thanks.

download simply stunning, it has kernals for every speed from 300-1000 and they all work using setcpu, live wallpapers work and everything, only thing you dont get on stunning is mt browser or gallery (which i dont really care about) but if you do theres ways around that also

Get Pete's Bugless Beast. It's OC and is the most used ROM of root users.

Did you try flashing the OC kernels using ADB?

Yeah, for a 2.1 ROM, Simply Stunning is the only way to go IMO...works very nicely :) and OCing is very nice with all the different speeds on this one

Right after my thread post the simply stunning rom came out. I flashed it last night and am really enjoying it. The luancher fc on me more than I would like. Does anyone know how to install the normal launcher?
