Anyone still on the Alltel Data Plans with Verizon?

I'm looking to renew my contract with Verizon. I'm previously an Alltel customer before the buyout, and I have a really great family data plan. It currently blows Verizon's pricing out of the water. I was told by the Corporate store rep - I have to renew at the corporate store to keep that data plan. He said this because that store used to be an Alltel store so he could do it.

I'm looking for someone that was in the same boat. Have you had luck upgrading through an agent, or let's say Walmart or Bestbuy? Their phone pricing is cheaper then the Corporate stores. Thanks.

I was in the same boat and told the same thing. I got the Thunderbolt when it first came out so it was the same price everywhere. I would suck up the difference in price of the phone and keep your alltel plan because it will save you a LOT more in the long run.
