I am on step 17 of this walk through http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-hacks/19818-how-install-bugless-beast-noobs.html and it says when I type "su" in the terminal emulator that I should be prompted to "allow", but instead it just goes to the next line (like just hitting enter on a command line prompt c:/ in windows)...

Anybody know why? (I only posted a new thread because it seems like a seperate issue and that I can just use that thread as an example..)

Does it say permission denied or anything like that? If it's not prompting or giving an error that means the permission is already granted... at least that's what my linux experience tells me.

Does it give you a '#' sign? If so you are fine. What ROM are you using now? Some of them default to that.

apparently your rom gives you root access whenever requested which either means that's just how they designed it or you at some point in time checked the "remember" box when allowing terminal root access before.

I agree. Just keep going on with the steps. Once you have the # symbol, you're all set to input commands in SU
