If downloading a theme's .zip and 1 click installing it with rom manager is too difficult for you, rooting/hacking your phone might not be the best option.

I think he means "Rom Manager" since I have never heard of root manager either. Typos happen more than you want :) My theme as well as some others are online as update.zip files.

You can check out my theme and download it RIGHT to your phone for easy Clockwork or SPRecovery installation from the WEBSITE.

Big D its very easy to do. If you find a theme or rom in the forums you like or wanna try just download the file. place it somewhere on your sd card (I assume you use clockwork if you have rom manager) go into rom manager hit "Install rom from sd card" navigate to the file you just put on your sd. choose back-up and wide data and hit ok. i personally only make back-ups of roms i really like and are stable. but if your flashing new stuff, kernels, themes, whatever. always a good idea to at least have 1 or 2 clean stable back-ups available just in case you run into problems. Most of the time the forums is where you will find the most/best stuff.

for themes, which Big D is talking about, you do not have to wipe.

your not Dumb if you got a slight grasp of what is going on since everyone is only putting partial answer here you go.

download any theme you want to your computer
connect usb when the usb mount screen pops up hit mount
then another popup dialog will popup select open to view files
drag the theme you d/loaded to your sdcard
pulldown notification bar select the usb option and unmount
goto rom manager select install from sdcard
then choose the theme you downloaded
    "Dont wipe data/cache"

select ok hit ok thru next cpl popups til phone reboots

phone will reboot into recovery and flash your theme
if all goes well phone will autoboot when finished
Congrats you got a new theme

or use phone browse to droidforums.net select the theme you want and d/l it.
goto rom manager select install from sdcard
then goto download or downloads choose the theme you downloaded
    "Dont wipe data/cache"

select ok hit ok thru next cpl popups til phone reboots

phone will reboot into recovery and flash your theme
if all goes well phone will autoboot when finished
Congrats you got a new theme
