Anti-virus app: worthwhile? If so which one?

I'm looking for recommendations on a good anti-virus app. It's something I intended to get, but have not gotten around to. Any suggestions?

I've searched, but haven't seen any recent threads on AV apps.

Love AVG, been using that one on my pc for years. Mobile & tablet devices however, I've used Lookout for the past few years, never had a problem. It's easy on the battery and it's got some great features.

I use AVG for the same reason, it's been on the PC...

What are the benefits of Lookout?

I don't know that it works any better or has more features than AVG, in a mobile setting, it was simply one of the first AV apps available for smartphones, so that's the one I've been using since my Fascinate.

Yes, I had the Incredible and Incredible 2 during that period. Great phones, but nothing compared to the current.
Still have the Incredible 2, was pristine until the friggin cat knocked it off the counter and used it as a hockey puck all over the tile in the kitchen and great room...., was just going to sell it on eBay or something too... Damn cats...

Never used an AV app on my phones. Surprised no one has has had the same comment because I know a lot of us are anti-AV.
Common Sense is more important then any AV solution.

Same here. Have never used one on any of my phones/tablets.

I use AVG Internet Security on my PC's.

Honestly, I did not found Anti-virus app worthy. I used AVG and Kaspersky and it seems to me that my phone is getting for using this apps. So I am not using any anti-virus apps.

I use Avast when I use one, but honestly it's for the rooted features like locking the phone against being factory reset.
