Why in the world would we want to go from internal combustion engines to just after the invention if the wheel...? Haha!

It's also only running 1.5/1.6.

Hardware couldn't handle 2.1 :p

THe iphone looks both weird and good running android. But it seems to be struggling with 1.6 and we are on 2.1.

I think it looks good. It is probably struggling because the iphone wasn't made to run it. I had android similar to this on my winmo phone and it ran poorly but i loved it more than my winmo install.

does this mean iphone OS can be ported to an android based phone (like the droid)? I know there was a thread asking the same question a month back, but after 1 serious response saying it could be possible and 5 pages of iphone OS bashing, nothing was resolved. I love my Droid (and macbook pro), but messing with a "closed" operating system on an open phone would be sweet. especially if there was a hack to get the slide out keyboard to work on the iphone OS.

I wouldnt be suprised...I have heard when you go into the UP (user permissions) in the root it gives you an option of including or taking away Android OS. Id really like to see WM 6.5 on the droid just cause.

i will admit it would be nice to see it when they get the bugs out.
