android market force closing

For some reason whenever I click on a app in Android Market the Market app force closes. This only happens when I click on an app in the recent apps listing. Using HTC Desire HD not rooted. Any advice appreciated.

Have you already tried going into settings, applications, and clearing data in the market app?

Yes but there is no change. The top free applications work fine... Strange!
