Does it work with any of the ics leaks? Does our phones hardware support it?
I'm running the .206 leak and there's supposed to be a setting for beam under "more" and there's nothing on my phone...

I believe beam requires NFC hardware...which the Droid 4 doesn't have.

I believe sd+ nfc or sim+nfc chips are possible.

I would guess that when verizon and other carriers have ISIS ( their version of google wallet ) working, they will hand these out like candy to force adoption to their payment system.
