Android App Stats

I was looking for general stats on Android development and found a pretty good page at:
Android Market statistics from AndroLib, Androlib, Android Applications and Games

Looks like there are nearly 18K apps at this point, and almost 3,000 apps are written per month.

Nice find, I've been wondering what kind of pace the market was on. Seems like a nice pace of increase (as long as the quality of apps being release continues to be decent for the most part).

Now we just need the STOCK market to get on that kind of pace!!!

They REALLY need to update the UI for the market now before there are tons more apps
