You all probably know by now that 4.1.2 was pushed to the Android Open Source Project by Google yesterday! Of course the Nexus 7 was the first device to receive a taste of this goodness. This does seem to be a small update with no major changes. The only major change we saw to the Nexus 7 was that it included Landscape mode. The next device to receive this update should be the Galaxy Nexus. We all know that the T-mobile and Sprint versions will receive it OTA quickly and Verizon will have it to us within the next three to four months. Why wait?! Developer "Ballocaust" packaged this release into a nice little flashable rom and released it over at Rootzwiki. This can be flashed over any firmware just like any other custom rom. It is totally stock and has been rooted and deodexed. There have basically been a ton of bug fixes in this release. You can find the changelog here.

Sprint wasn't all that quick either... I think they preceded VZW's OTA by about two weeks. Either way VZW is still the slowest.

(Did Sprint promise to be quicker about it this time? Not likely VZW would do anthing like that.)
