1. You want that $100.00 in your pocket or an Amazon Fire TV don't you? Well here's the deal. With our new updated look we are in desperate need of an updated logo. The 'old' one has certainly served us well, but it's time. Find all the details here: bit.ly/1q0k6Wa

So since we know Android 2.2 is being tested by random people visiting tech sites and not too far off I just wanted to ask when will WE
(rooted users) see it? I am hoping that we will get it before the "official" release via amazing developers like cyanogen/koush. I didnt see any posts on this and am kinda surprised. I'm anxious to give it a test run. I hope it gets leaked soon so us rooted users can get a 2.2 ROM!!

It seems they are being a bit more devious in getting excitement up for new releases. There are plenty of ways to cover the device type when visiting sites, so it seems they WANT the tech sites to know. Chances are, though, they will not add the source until about a month after the official release hits. Least that seems to be the trend.

Open source doesn't *leak*. Its released, and I have no doubt that neither Koush or cyanogen will touch it until the source is released.

Besides, the source is released well before the vendor roms are and it is not currently on aosp.

YSo google puts the next version out early so that app developers can take advantage of all the new changes? Is that right?

Actually, the SDK which app devs need, will be out before the source for Froyo will be.

So once you see a new sdk version drop, get ready, because Froyo is in the near future.
