Android 2.2 and Deleting of email items???

I recently got my DroidX, and formerly of the Blackberry:blackberry: persuasion. I was (on my Storm2) able to delete mail items from my phone only and leave a copy on the server. Now with the DroidX:greendroid: if I delete mail items on my phone they also are deleted on the server (Bad!). Does anyone know if there is a way to get around this issue with my DroidX.

I just had the opposite problem with my Droid X. When I deleted from my phone, it would not delete from the server like I wanted it to. Maybe if you describe what kind of mail you are using (pop, exchange, etc) someone can come up with something. I have read several problems that others are having with their email not deleting from the server, so I would guess it will be fixable for you.
