This is correct.
From what I've read a lot of the glitches and bugs that are experienced soon after the update are short-lived and work them selves out.
My wifes update is working fantastic. Smooth as butter.....Just wish she appreciated it like I do....
Here's hoping I get mine tonight :icon_ banana:
manual update complete (damn, that was easy once i made a phone call to get my question i asked here, answered).
dont really see any differences other than the gallery looks different. Havent really tried any of the features you guys are talking about. Maybe i'll get some time later to play with it.
Mine was waiting when I got up too. I just updated and it seemed to take forever to get back online and back up and running. The one change I notice is that I can mount to 7 now. I wasn't able to before. I had to use the Win Virtual Machine. Should I be looking for any other major changes? I saw in a few other posts about backing up their data and such...I just did the update with out doing any of that and all my stuff still seems to be intact.
Well, I finally caved in and installed the manual update. Just sitting through the long boot up process now (DROID and red-eye loop)
I love it so far!
Just got it today 4/3 and I love the pinch zoom and especially the speech text entering. This rocks!
Search really isn't helping here so I'm asking....If I do the manual update, it's exactly like the OTA, right? I mean, when the scheduled OTA update arrives, my Droid won't do anything odd? Also, doing the manual update won't cause a block of a future update, is this correct?
Just a reminder everyone. We're talking about the roll out not rooting. If you've rooted your Droid and you're happy with it, discuss it in the General Discussion thread that's fine. Just not in here or any of the 2.1 discussions.
400,000+ down..... plus or minus 1,000,000 to go
How do you wipe your phone if it won't boot?
Is this an issue? You can't boot?
I received my notification of 2.1 (actually 2.1 mod. 1) about 12:30PM today, loaded it and rebooted with no problems.
I'm wading through the changes now.
Definitely only three screens.
