Just when i decided to take the plunge with sholes this weekend this happens. I know though the "new" team will get things back in order and everything will be beautiful once again. I have done some research on rooting being new to the android OS i wanted to learn and consume as much information as possible before jumping in. Well in doing so i have learned that i can root manually if need be. It's not that difficult at all. You see these large posts that seem very complicated and brain heavy but just do a search on youtube on "rooting your droid" and see just how simple it really is. (also there are videos on nandroid backup which are helpful if you decide to root) Anyway, i think i will wait for the 2.1 release and then go from there. Likely i will still root to get the andvanced features such as wireless tether ect....

Nice post, because I'll be honest the easy "guides" that we have in this forum are not all that easy to understand. IMHO.

you can certainly count me in on re-donating. Even if all you do is post a paypal account so we can donate there. Im glad this great team is still together. Thanks for keeping us updated.

Exactly Bill!!! reading is one thing but being able to see what is done is another. It's nice to see a instructional video along with "the guides" on this forum. ( i must say the users that make the guides are great people and many thanks to all of them)

Have you ever tried Matth3w's guide? It's VERY easy to understand if you read all parts to it.

Thanks for the update and accurate info. Most of the time you never get to hear both sides of the story.
It is a shame it came down to whos got the bigger stick, but glad to hear it sounds like things will be back to normal soon! I personally purchased the app for one to make the rooting easier, but mainly to offer a donation to your team for all the hard, and excellent work you guys do!!
Thank you and please keep the great work coming to us! It is appreciated!
