There are some interesting new statistics regarding tablets that might catch your eye. Apparently, the new Amazon Kindle Fire almost equals the iPad in a new customer satisfaction survey from comScore. On a scale of 1-10, the iPad scored an 8.8 and the Kindle Fire scored an 8.7. There are some other interesting factoids in the survey:
  • Women make up the majority of Kindle Fire owners at 56.6% while men account for the majority of iPad owners at 52.9%.
  • iPad owners cited mobile app selection and vendor brand as their most important reasons for choosing their tablet. Kindle Fire owners said their top two reasons for buying their tablet were its price and app selection.
  • iPad owners tend to be better off financially, as 46.3% of iPad owners surveyed reported an income of $100,000 or higher.

What does this prove? The average person is uninformed and clueless when it comes to Android tablets. More apps available for the Fire than Android? Oh boy.

ABSOLUTELY!!!! It's amazing that people will willingly plunk down hundreds of dollars on something withour doing any research.

Lol, how about price getting a 7.2 score for the Ipad! Of course, if they asked people who DIDN'T purchase an Ipad if price was the factor, it would probably score in the high 9's. I can buy 3 N7's for the price of the high end Ipad 3 right now.
