I am trying to limit Apps just running in the background. This one just keeps popping up when I look in System Monitor. I don't use it and want to uninstall it, but cannot seem to. Is there some way to do it or am I stuck with it?

It is a system app and only removable if the phone is rooted.

There is nothing you can do to stop certain apps from running in the background. I'll bet you are coming from a blackberry. With android you really don't have to worry about it.

Some may recommend a task killer but they do more harm then good. Just ignore them.

How To Remove System Apps and Description is what I use, the ADB commands work regardless of phone module, though specific app names differ. Amazon is com.amazon.mp3.apk I believe. If you want to just rename the app so its available for future use but is rendered unusable by the phone, you can just rename the apk (the command would be mv com.amazon.mp3.apk com.amazon.mp3.bak).
