The headline might get you to scratch your head... how can a phone that hasn't even been officially announced, let alone released, be the top selling anything anywhere? Just yesterday we shared the news that the new Samsung Galaxy S III was available for pre-order at Amazon Germany. Since just yesterday, the phone has risen rapidly to become the number one selling smartphone, beating out every other device, including the Galaxy Nexus and the Galaxy S II. When a phone becomes the top selling device, and its official specs haven't even been announced yet, you know there must be a ton excitement for it.
Apparently, Samsung is starting to become like Apple as far as unbridled enthusiasm goes. People want to buy it, just because it is a Galaxy S device. Hopefully the hype doesn't leave everyone disappointed when the phone is finally revealed on May 3rd.
