Am I rooted?

I've run Droid Easy Root Scripts and Pete's Super Root tools.

I seem to have SU access.

I cannot uninstall the VZW bloatware, and Barnacle isn't working right.

Am I really rooted, or did it not work right? Any help?

How are you uninstalling the vzw bloat? Is it with an app like Titanium Backup, or are you going into the apps menu to do it?

Long pressing on the app in the app drawer. I'm not getting an 'uninstall' option.

You'll need an app like Titanium Backup to get rid of the bloat.

Take it from the numerous posts on the subject. Deleting certain bloatware can cause problem with the phone and prevent future updates. I froze a few Verizon "bloats" and got force closes in email and messaging which both went away upon unfreezing. Use Titanium BU to freeze them instead.

I have TB on the phone, I just don't see an option in it to uninstall the bloats.

So far GB blows. A ton of apps don't work, or don't work right anymore, and Barnacle is all jacked up too. Can I just go back to Froyo?

just go to uninstall through apps in settings and see if it can be done. if not i dont think you are rooted. if you are unsure though, a great way to check is through the terminal.

Download android termial emulator off of market, tis useful. When u have it youll see $, type su, then u should see it now be #. if not, no root.

barnacle doesn't work on gingerbread.
and the only way to go back is to sbf back and then root again using the froyo method.

Does any wifi tether work on GB?

And what's sbf?

There is a wireless tether hack put out by TBH it's pretty extensive. But other than that hack idk of any other way to get it but sbf And sbf means to change from GB to Froyo using your computer and some software.
