As you begin flagging, you can cut the number of reps in each subsequent set. Keep in mind that any muscle-building routine you undertake is only effective if it makes you stronger. The result is that you'll be able to increase the amount of weight you lift. So, if you are a beginner, every couple of workouts should see you lifting approximately 5% more weight.
