Alarms revert to default tones

Am using the native clock app. Alarms are MP3s on my microSD card. Twice in the past week, all alarm tones have reverted to system default for no apparent reason, without me even rebooting the phone.

The card itself seems to be OK, as I can listen to music and save files to it.
