I recently rooted my phone (Moto Droid) using DroidMod 1.0. It went painlessly. That's the good part, but when I went to set the Alarm Clock, the app was missing. I am talking about the stock alarm clock app that came with the phone. Is there any way to get it back? I looked in the Market, but found nothing comparable or that I even liked. I just want to restore the original.

    Thanks
    Steve

I have the exact same issue, seems like the only alarm clock left after the rooting, is the one in the multimedia player.

The alarm clock is removed and is replaced by Clock. Go inside the clock and you will see you can set up alarms in there.:)

Ok, so just rooted and now am using the clock app as stated for an alarm but I absolutely can't stand any of the options for an alarm. Is there a way now to add another option as my ringtone for the alarm?

Haha I tried that one out. I decided on the alternative: simply get up when the alarm goes off

Yes you can set up ringtones. Use ringdroid to create ringtones out of your mp3 files and set it as an alarm. It works just fine.

kind of a bump, but still pertains to this topic:

ive lost my alarm clock app also. I use it from my dock, but it force closes when i try to hit it from multimedia station.(im guessing because it doesnt exist)

is there any way to get the alarm clock app back? or fix the associated apps?

heck id even be happy with an alternative dock app if it worked well
