I did not like the fact that when I upgraded to android 2.1 they changed the alarm clock. I use weather widgets as my home screen clock and when you click the clock the alarm does not show up now. If anyone else wants the old alarm clock back here is how you do it.

You will be required to root your Motorola Droid first and
    then do a nandroid backup.

    1. Remount/system to RW (mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock4 /system)

    2. Download AlarmClock.zip and RENAME it AlarmClock.apk.

    3. Put AlarmClock.apk in the same folder as your adb shell program.

    4. Then (adb push AlarmClock.apk /system/app/AlarmClock.apk).

    5. Enjoy :icon_ banana:

    THANKS!!! :icon_ banana:

Although, I used Root Explorer to move the file from my sdcard to the /system/app directory. Once I did that, I had to "install" the app. Works like a charm.

Thanks for this! I installed the Koush ROM yesterday and the new analog clock was driving me crazy.

I'm rooted, so I don't know if that makes any difference, but I was able to install the app from the SD card. I didn't need to move it to the /system/app folder.
